I arrived at Shinfield Park early 1967 and worked at White Waltham until July 1968 when the station disbanded.
Although I can’t remember a lot of time spent at shinfield park I do remember rushing to the mess for breakfast every morning before we embarked on the coach to take us to white Waltham. Some girls still finishing getting dressed and eating their breakfast!!
I remember dances at the NAAFI and special events when we dressed up - always a great evening. I have fond memories of my time at Shinfield and pleased to say am still in touch with friends I met and meet for a good catch up!
I met my husband Maurice (Mo) Whitbread at HQ 25 Group at White Waltham and we married in May 1968.
