8th March 2026. Greg North sent a message from Jan Dallard who had received this note from Ken’s daughter.

Hi Jan, I thought I’d wait to reply after I'd seen Dad today. I see him a couple of times a week and he still remembers us, so that’s great. He very much lives in the moment, so when I mentioned you, he smiled and said “hello”. He’s well looked after and is doing well though his dementia is hard. His care home has become a recognised ‘veteran-friendly’ home recently. They’ve had a couple of celebration events to thank all the veteran residents. I’ll send the most recent photo (see below) which I took a few weeks ago. I bought Dad a new blue shirt and he wore his suit!
