- My name is Richard Barrett. I am 56 years old. I own and run a small Hotel in southern Ireland with my wife Carol (www.dunmorehousehotel.ie). I practised as a Solicitor here in Ireland for 30 years retiring in 2014.
- I hope that you may be able to help me in getting some information on my late Uncle Patrick J. Barrett who served with the RAF during the second world war. He was my late father's only brother.
- I have an envelope post marked 20th April 1943 from my late uncle to my late grandmother in Cork but the envelope seems to have been returned by the Censor here. On the back of the envelope in handwriting is: P.J. Barrett RAF Shinfield Park, Reading Berks.
- I don't know anything about my late uncle's service, rank etc. and would be greatly obliged for any help or directions you might be able to give me.
