The Black Boy / The Shinfield Arms

Finally, Wokeness won out, and The Black Boy has been renamed as The Shinfield Arms. An article from Berkshire Live told the story here.

The change had been attempted in 2017, article here, but rejected.

Surely a better name would have been “A boy of a hue other than white”. That would offend only my sense of history!

Hereafter reference will be "The Shinfield Arms formerly known as the Black Boy"!
